Questions new users ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most when they start using Finsplore.
Yes. You add accounts to Finsplore by importing statements, and most banks only let you download a statement through their internet banking website. See Which banks can I use with Finsplore?
No. Finsplore does not connect to your bank, so your accounts only change when you import a newer statement. See Import a bank statement.
There is no limit. A statement covering the last 3 months is a good place to start, and you can import older ones later.
Finsplore checks each statement against the transactions you already have. If you import a statement you have already imported, Finsplore tells you, so you do not end up with doubles. When only some dates overlap, it counts the transactions you Already had and does not add them again. Transactions that only look like one you already have are marked for you to check.
Finsplore only knows about the transactions in the statements you have imported. Anything that happened after your latest statement, including pending transactions, is not in Finsplore yet. Import a newer statement to catch up.
No. Each Finsplore account is personal to one person. Your partner can create their own account.
Finsplore shows your totals in Australian dollars (AUD) unless you choose another base currency in Settings: NZD, USD, GBP, EUR or SGD. See Update your profile and preferences.
No. Finsplore shows you information about your own money. It does not give financial advice or recommend financial products. For advice about your situation, speak to a licensed financial adviser.
