Find a transaction
Search and filter your transactions, and open one to see its details.
Transactions lists every transaction from the statements you have imported, newest first and grouped by day. Use it to check a payment, look up what you spent with a merchant, or find transactions that still need a category.
Search and filter
- Open Transactions.
- Type in Search merchant or description to find a merchant or a word from your bank statement.
- Narrow the list with the filters:
- Categories: show one or more categories.
- Account: show All accounts or a single account.
- Date range: choose This month, Last 3 months, Last 12 months or This year.
Each filter you use appears as a chip above the list. Remove a chip to clear that filter. On a small screen, the filters are under Filters.
What each transaction shows
Each row shows the merchant, its category, the amount and the account it belongs to. Money in and money out are shown in different colours, and a Pending label marks transactions your bank had not finished processing when you exported the statement.
Open a transaction
Click a transaction to see more about it, including:
- Paid from or Paid into, and Paid to or Received from
- Date
- Category and Subcategory
- Status: Pending or Settled
- Description: the text from your bank statement
Click Close to fold it away again.
Transactions that need a category
If some transactions do not have a category yet, Transactions tells you how many and what they are worth. Click Review to go through them. Giving them a category keeps your spending figures accurate. See Change a transaction's category.
