See where your money went

Use Track to see your spending by category over a week, month, quarter or year.

Track turns your transactions into a clear picture of your spending. It shows how much you spent in a period, which categories took the most, and how this period compares with the last one. Use it to spot where your money goes before you set a budget.

Choose what to look at

  1. Open Track.
  2. Choose a period: Week, Month, Quarter, Year or All time.
  3. To look at one account, change All accounts to that account.

What Track shows

  • How much you spent in the period, and a Day by day chart comparing it with the period before.
  • Spending by category, so you can see which categories take the biggest share.
  • Where it went most, your biggest areas of spending. Click See all for the full list.
  • Income and expenses over recent months.
  • Needs your attention: transactions that are not categorised yet. Give them a category to make your figures accurate.

See the detail behind each number

Click Manage all categories to open Manage. It breaks your spending down by category, subcategory, merchant and transaction, and compares each one with the last period. Use Find a category to jump to a category.

Change a transaction's category

Move a transaction to the right category, and choose whether Finsplore does the same for similar transactions.

Create your own categories

Add a category for something the built-in ones do not cover, then rename, merge or delete it later.
