Manage your bank data sharing consent

See which banks are sharing data with Finsplore, when each consent expires, and stop sharing at any time.

If you connect a bank directly instead of importing statements, you give Finsplore your consent to receive that bank's data. Data sharing & consent lists every connection, so you can see what is shared and stop it whenever you choose.

Bank connections are not available yet. Today you add your data by importing a statement, so there is no bank consent to manage. This article describes how it will work once bank connections are available.

See your connections

  1. Open Settings and click Data & privacy.
  2. Under Data sharing & consent, click Manage consent.

Each connection shows:

  • The bank, and the date you gave consent.
  • A status: Active, Pending, Expired or Connection error.
  • Why Finsplore asks for the data, and what is shared.
  • How many accounts are synced.
  • When the consent runs out, as a countdown and a date.

Finsplore shows Renew soon when a consent has 30 days or fewer left. Reconnect the bank before then to avoid a gap in your data.

When a consent expires, the bank stops sharing new data with Finsplore. Click Reconnect to resume. The data Finsplore already has stays until you revoke access.

Stop sharing and delete the data

  1. Open Manage consent as above.
  2. On the bank's card, click Revoke access.
  3. Read the message, enter your password, and click Revoke access to confirm.

Revoking stops the bank sharing new data straight away. It also deletes the accounts, balances and transactions received under that consent, along with everything worked out from them. This cannot be undone. To share the data again, you connect the bank from scratch.
