Turn two-factor sign-in on or off
Add a code from an authenticator app to your sign-in, so your password alone is not enough to get into your account.
Two-factor sign-in adds a second step when you sign in. As well as your password, you enter a code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or 1Password. Someone who learns your password still cannot get into your account.
Turn on two-factor sign-in
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Settings.
- Open the Security tab.
- Under Two-factor authentication, click Set up two-factor.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you cannot scan it, click Copy under Or enter this key manually and type the key into your app.
- Enter the 6-digit code your app shows.
- Click Verify and enable.
From now on, Finsplore asks for a code from your app each time you sign in. See Sign in and sign out.
You can also turn on two-factor sign-in when you first set up your account.
Turn off two-factor sign-in
- Open Settings and the Security tab.
- Under Two-factor authentication, click Turn off.
Your account is then protected by your password only. You can turn two-factor sign-in on again at any time.
