Finsplore

Add contributions to a goal

Record money you have put towards a goal, or taken out of it, so your progress stays up to date.

A contribution is a record of money you have put towards a goal. Each time you add one, Finsplore updates how much you have saved, how much is left, and how much you need each month to reach the goal on time.

Contributions are records for your own tracking. Finsplore is read-only and never moves money. Make the transfer with your bank first, then record it here.

Add a contribution

  1. Open Goals and click the goal.
  2. Open the Contributions tab and click Add contribution.
  3. Enter the Amount.
  4. Choose Money into this goal, or Money taken back out if you took money out.
  5. Add a Note (optional), such as "Bonus from work".
  6. Click Add contribution.

The contribution is dated today, and your progress on the Goal tab updates straight away.

Change or remove a contribution

  1. Open the goal and the Contributions tab.
  2. Open the menu next to the contribution.
  3. Click Edit to change the amount, note or Date, then click Save changes. The date can be any day from when the goal started up to today.
  4. Or click Delete, then Delete entry. Your goal's balance goes back down by that amount.
